Rev. Roberto Joel Meléndez- Pastor
Pastor Roberto Joel is the lead pastor at Leesburg Alliance Church and La Alianza Leesburg. He graduated from PTU with a BA degree in Bible Theology and became a licensed worker with The Christian and Missionary Alliance in 2012. He was subsequently ordained to the Christian ministry by the Alliance in 2022. He has been actively involved in Church Planting Ministries since 2011, has planted various churches throughout his ministry, and collaborated in multiple church plants. He also currently is the Executive Secretary for the Spanish Eastern District DEXCOM (District Executive Committee) and has been the Secretary for the Church Advance and Multiplication Ministry of the Spanish Eastern District for the last 10 years.
At a secular level worked in the maintenance Industry for about 20 years becoming an Executive Maintenance Director overseeing multiple apartment communities creating maintenance protocols and training curriculums. In his most recent professional life, he has become a Workforce Development Instructor providing training for unemployed and under-employed job seekers seeking to further their careers.
He is married to Terri Meléndez and they have a family of 3 boys and three grandsons. Terri has a heart for evangelism and for women’s ministry, specifically to counsel women who have been subject to abuse. Together they seek to fulfill the will of God and to continue to dedicate themselves to serving God and others.
